Welcome to BachaLo ("App", "we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using this application, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. About BachaLo

BachaLo is a personal safety and emergency assistance application designed to help users share emergency information, including location details and selected device information, with trusted contacts during emergency situations.

BachaLo is intended as a support tool only and is not a replacement for police, ambulance, fire, medical, or other emergency services.

2. Permissions Used by the App

• Contacts (READ_CONTACTS) – Used to select trusted emergency contacts.
• SMS Permissions (SEND_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS, READ_SMS) – Used to send emergency alerts, receive emergency commands, and support SOS communication features.
• Location Permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION) – Used to obtain and share location information during emergencies.
• Phone Information (READ_PHONE_STATE) – Used for emergency-related functionality when enabled by the user.
• Call Log Access (READ_CALL_LOG) – Used only for emergency-related features and safety assistance functionality.
• Notification Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) – Used to display emergency alerts, safety notifications, and service status updates.
• Microphone Access (RECORD_AUDIO) – Used for voice-trigger emergency features such as detecting phrases like "Help", "Save Me", or "Bachao".

The App may allow users to create custom emergency keywords for voice-triggered emergency activation. These keywords are configured by the user and processed locally on the device.

• Accessibility Service – Used to support user-requested emergency actions and accessibility-based safety features. Accessibility access is never used for advertising or data collection purposes.
• Device Administrator Access – May be used for user-enabled safety features that help prevent interruption of emergency protection services. Users can disable this access at any time through Android settings.
• Battery Optimization Exemption – Helps emergency monitoring and protection services continue functioning reliably in the background.
• Background Services (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, WAKE_LOCK) – Used to keep safety services active and restart emergency protection features after device reboot.
• Internet Access (INTERNET) – Used to support app functionality, service reliability, and future online features when required.

3. SMS Commands

Trusted contacts may use specific SMS commands:

• Hi, Hello – Requests the user's current location and emergency information.
• Stop – Stops automatic location updates.

These commands are processed only when received from trusted contacts configured by the user.

4. How We Use Information

Information accessed by the App is used solely to provide emergency assistance features.

• Trusted contact information
• Location information
• SMS-based emergency communication
• Device status information required for emergency assistance

5. Data Storage and Processing

We Do Not:

• Sell personal information
• Rent personal information
• Share personal information with advertisers
• Upload personal information to our own servers
• Create marketing profiles

Some settings and emergency configurations may be stored locally on the user's device.

6. Third-Party Services

Certain features may rely on Android services, mobile networks, SMS providers, and location services which operate under their own policies.

7. User Responsibilities

• Select trusted contacts appropriately.
• Ensure emergency contacts know they have been added.
• Use the App responsibly and lawfully.
• Provide accurate information where required.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. However, no software or device can guarantee complete security.

9. Service Availability

• Continuous availability of the App is not guaranteed.
• SMS delivery may fail due to network conditions.
• GPS availability may vary.
• Location accuracy cannot always be guaranteed.

10. Emergency Disclaimer

BachaLo is intended only as an assistance tool and should never be relied upon as the sole method of obtaining emergency assistance.

11. Children's Privacy

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising use of the App by minors.

Users under the applicable age should use the App under parental or guardian supervision.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
